What is GIS and QGIS?
Hi, everyone.
So today we are going to learn about GIS and QGIS
What is GIS? What is QGIS?
GIS = Geographical Information System
QGIS = Quantum Geographical Information System
GIS is a system that organizes a collection of computer hardware, software, geographic data and personnel designed to capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze and display geographically referenced data while QGIS is one of the examples.
How QGIS works?
For QGIS 2.18,
How to change the default CRS (projection) setting?
How to convert geographical data into Shapefile (vector file)?
How to convert and save geographical data as KML file?
How to import shapefiles (vector layer) to QGIS?
How to create a new shapefile (vector layer) in QGIS?
How to install plugin?
How to georeferencing the image (map)?
How to convert shapefile (polygon, line or point vector) to raster file?
How to import raster file to QGIS?
How to produce a map by following mapping principles with QGIS?
